This project aims to sculpting the city landscape through the 3D relief cutout, through the photogram I try to create another vision and explanation to the city landscape. It’s not limited to any definition, it’s just another possibility.

Every day, we walk through the city, we see people passing by. Buildings are the background of our vision. They compose in our daily memory, washing away by time, leaving a slight trace in our memory. Windows are like lenses, are like eyes, looking at us, recording the history and present of our civilization and barbarity, humanity and cruelty, beauty and ugly. We’re changing together in reality and in the reverie. Windows to windows, eyes to eyes, eyes to windows, windows to eyes.

It’s actually an illusion that buildings are static, nothing is really moving. What is still is not still, some movements are not visible to our human’s eyes, time is another illusion. Changing just slower than the glacier melting. The city landscape is deconstructing into pieces and transforming. We see we blink. Sometimes we close our eyes, and see the city and the buildings, they also blink. Silently but lively. They are our own reflection.

The aim of the project is to deliver the human relationship with water that can bring up many aspects of topics(ecological, political, religion), from tap water to water resources that lead to territorial fights between countries. And from our blood in our veins to the ocean. From raindrops to beer we are drinking.

We and water are inseparable, but what if the water we are drinking is actually dangerous to us, like recently there’s a new science research published showing that they have found out that there are micro plastic in our blood, it is not yet
proof that if the existence of micro plastic in our blood is vital or not, but it indeed leed to that we need to care for our consuming of water, and also bring out the fact that plastics we made flowing in ocean causing damage to marine nature also come back to us.

Water has memories, we are all inherit the memory of the planet, our ancestry through water passing on in the circle of lives again and again, even lead to the similarity of the ‘’Samsara’’ in Buddhism and some other religion. It is about the cyclicality of all life, matter, existence.
